About Me
Robin S. Cohen, ERYT-200, RYT-500
I have had yoga in my life for as far back as I can remember, well before the word "yoga" was part of my vocabulary. The philosophy seemed to flow into me, and my actions and decisions were consistently yogic in nature.
As a young mother, I began to crave more, and I purchased my first yoga book, a 28 day program, which I followed for several years. Then classes became available, and I was a consistent participant. I felt as though I had completed a philosophical circle, and the more I learned, the more i wanted to know.
When teacher training was offered, I allowed myself an additional year for self-study, then entered the program and loved every minute of it, so much so that I went on to take advanced training.
A teacher by profession, I plan my yoga classes as I would prepare for a classroom of students. Each of my classes is unique and themed in some way, and each plays out perfectly based on the students who attend.
I love bringing yoga into people's lives. I'm available for group and private sessions for children and adults alike, in my yoga room, which is one of my favorite places. I love instructing in all aspects of yoga, with a particular focus on asana (physical practice), meditation, and philosophy.
Mahatma Gandhi said, "My life is my message." I believe this to be true, and I try to live the message I want to share with others.
I am always thinking about my life, and the ways in which it will be perceived by others. I, like everyone else, have a responsibility to lead the life I wish to see in those around me. And woven throughout my behaviors are the philosophies of yoga.
